There is a reason why there are 11 supervisors -- use it to your advantage.
City Librarian Susan Hildreth said her vision for the 21st-century library is a blend of "entertainment venue," "community living room," and "mall experience."
I have another glass of wine & plenty of pot to finish this column for the last SFCall.com posting.
One reason the system has broken down is that it has become brilliant at suppressing, stifling, and smothering anyone who would make a complaint against it.

Culture Shock

I'm visiting my brother and sister-in-law. Both of them work the swing shift, so I'm left to fend for myself in the evenings.
My world soon would become front-page news from Lihu'e to Honolulu to Washington, D.C., where I faced near-criminal persecution by the Federal Communications Commission.
